Search Is on for Our Best Performers


THE search is on to find the best companies to work for in the North East and highlight those employees that have gone the extra mile for their bosses.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development have teamed up with The Journal to recognise the region's top employees and companies.

The North East Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development HR awards celebrate those people who have worked above and beyond the call of duty in recruitment and training.

The CIPD Excellence in Developing People Award recognises businesses and organisations that utilise effective training and development strategies that have an impact on overall performance.

It all culminates in a ceremony at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on April 18, 2013. And this year the awards are in association once again with Nigel Wright Recruitment.

There are eight awards, with each category sponsored by a well-known organisation including Northumbrian Water, Cintra HR & Payroll Services, Ward Hadaway, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service, Newcastle University Business School and Home Group. Catherine Attwell, chair of CIPD North East of England Branch said: "These are the region's most prestigious HR&D Awards. Delivered in association with The Journal and associate sponsor Nigel Wright, the awards recognise and celebrate outstanding HR&D achievements and impact on business success.

"Our awards aim to inspire future generations of the great North East. This year there will be a double celebration as we approach the CIPD centenary recognising 100 years of leading HR into the future and celebrating the very best that human resources and development has to offer in the region."

Event organisers expect the gala event to be better than ever this time and attract over 370 people to cheer on the winners. They are already taking bookings for tables.
