If you don't have any experience with WordPress, you should read the previous book before this one. If you are more advanced and are looking for ways to extend what WordPress can do, then this book will give you some good ideas, particularly in a library setting.
Although the book is divided into four parts, the first three parts make up half the book and briefly describe how to set up and use WordPress. Part IV provides case studies of how WordPress is used in various organizations. Personally, I found this part the most useful section of the book because it includes nine case studies provided by guest authors, describing in varying detail how they used WordPress for subject guides, library websites, a blogging platform for students, and more.
The book feels very uneven, with detailed coding instructions given for some things and other topics breezily covered in a paragraph. …
