CASES heard at Coventry Magistrates Court on Friday, May 3, included: John Adye, 25, of Brookford Avenue, Keresley, Coventry, was convicted of assault causing actual bodily harm. He was jailed for 12 weeks, suspended for 12 months, with 120 hours' unpaid work, and told to pay PS3,950 compensation and PS100 costs.
Philip Kawooya, 30, of Peel Street, Foleshill, Coventry, admitted assault, and being drunk and disorderly. He was given a six-month community order and told to pay PS75 compensation and an PS80 victim surcharge.
Gigias Kraucs, 29, of Station Street East, Foleshill, Coventry, admitted driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance. He was discharged absolutely.
Eddie Wootton, 46, of Fontmell Close, Walsgrave, Coventry, admitted resisting arrest. He was conditionally discharged for six months and told to pay a PS15 victim surcharge and PS85 costs.
Phillip Barnes, 43, of Attoxhall Road, Wyken, Coventry, admitted producing cannabis. He was given a three-month community order with a 16-week curfew, and told to pay a PS60 victim surcharge and PS85 costs.
Nicola Connolly, 31, of St Lawrence's Road, Foleshill, Coventry, admitted stealing a handbag worth PS100, and breaching a suspended sentence. She was jailed for 28 weeks.
Sian McDermott, 27, of Craners Road, Hillfields, Coventry, was convicted in her absence of driving without due care and attention. She was fined PS135, given three points, and told to pay a PS15 victim surcharge and PS85 costs. …
