JBC Nominates Manila Bulletin Correspondent
Manila Bulletin correspondent Mark Anthony N. Manuel has made it to the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) shortlist of candidates for the Legal Education Board (LEB), representing the law students' sector.
The shortlist was submitted by the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) to President Benigno S. Aquino III.
Manuel studies law at the Arellano University School of Law. He is currently the Prime Minister of the Arellano Law Forensic Guild, the official debate and moot court organization of the university. He is also the vice president of the Arellano Law's honors' society, the Arellano Law Academic Society.

Manuel graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Journalism and Education from the Centro Escolar University where he also received the Chairman Emilio T. Yap Award for the Year's Top Graduate in 2008.
The Manila Bulletin writer recently won the 2013 National Essay Writing Competition sponsored by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO-Phil), the Korean Copyright Commission, and the United States embassy in Manila.
He is also one of the delegates of the Philippines in the Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court Competition, one of the biggest competitions among law students in the world, which will be held in South Korea in August.
Manuel said that he wishes to bring the LEB closer to his fellow law students.
"Some law students don't even know that there is such a government agency that caters to their needs. …
