Unitarian Universalist Society to Screen 'Legalize Democracy' Friday

The documentary "Legalize Democracy" will be shown at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva, 110 S. Second St., Geneva.
Corporate personhood and grass-roots advocacy are the topics of the evening. After the film, local activists Kaye Gamble, Jeannie Scown, and Debby Fay will provide an update from the perspectives of grass-roots organizers. How did they help organize the campaign? What is coming next? What can you do?
Kaye Gamble is the state coordinator for Illinois Move to Amend, is active in Move to Amend Kane County, and is a member of the Coalition to Reform Politics.
Jeannie Scown is a former volunteer regional coordinator for MoveOn.org and is active in Move to Amend Kane County.
Debby Fay is administrator for Illinois Move to Amend's website, and is also active in Move to Amend Kane County.
In 2012, they participated in a movement that collected 14,000 signatures allowing an advisory question to be placed on the Kane County ballot. …
