Financial Analysis Service in English Set to Launch on Internet
Korea Omega Investment Advisory Co., a domestic consulting firm, said yesterday it will launch an English-language Internet-based financial analysis service beginning late this month.
The new Net service will be based on ``ADLuck,'' an ``Excel-based'' program which offers an extensive financial and stock database of some 7,000 listed, unlisted and KOSAQ companies.
ADLuck, whose upgraded version was launched just last month, is the first software to present an up-to-date financial database in English through Excel and the Internet here in Korea.
``We are currently operating a test site for ADLuck and plan to offer the full-fledged Internet service beginning in late May,'' Lim Hoon, director of Korea Omega said.
While the original ADLuck program targets foreign firms operating in Korea, the online version will appeal to research centers, universities and public organizations which need the detailed financial status and corporate data of Korean firms in real time,'' he added.
The recently upgraded ADLuck program, which does not require costly private networks, is based on the Internet.
With simple installation, users can log onto the ADLuck network through a conventional modem. As the Microsoft Excel program automatically opens, subscribers can tap into a financial and stock database of the past 10 years for listed companies and four years for KOSDAQ and unlisted firms. …
