Prayers for Marie A. Venuso (nee Manietta) will be said at 8:30 a.m. Friday, at Salerno's Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., Chicago. Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. William Church. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife for more than 69 years of Louis R.; devoted mother of Lucille Camerano, Donna Vittorio, and Camile and Louis F. Venuso; fond grandmother of eight; loving great-grandmother of five; and dear sister of nine.

Gregory T. Athas of Rolling Meadows
A memorial service for Gregory T. Athas, 84, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3201 Meadow Drive, Rolling Meadows. The Rev. Robert Giese, pastor, will officiate.
Born May 30, 1915, in Chicago, he died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
He was the beloved husband of Marilyn Athas (nee Godfrey); loving father of Gregory R. (Rita) Athas of Bartlett; cherished grandfather of Gregory J. (Heidi) Athas of Boston, Mass. and Heather (Thomas) Hillman; great-grandfather of Noah Gregory; dear brother of George Athas of Cicero; and fond uncle and great-uncle of many.

Edwin Beebe formerly of St. Charles
Services for Edwin Beebe, 67, of Naples, Fla., also formerly of Clewiston, Fla., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Dr. Alfred Patten will officiate.
Born April 14, 1932, in St. Charles, the son of Alonzo J. and Florence Beebe, he died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Naples Community Hospital in Naples. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, St. Charles.
Mr. Beebe was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and past exalted ruler of the Elks Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Polly Beebe; son, Edwin S. Beebe of St. Charles; daughters, Jan (Jim) Norris of Naples and Linda (Scott) Duggins of Clewiston; brothers, Harry and Harold Beebe; sister, Dorothy Janunas; grandchildren, Tabatha, Eric, Sara, Alissa, John Jr., Laura, Linda, Richard, Barbi and Courtney; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, LeGrand, Arthur and Alonzo `Lonnie' Beebe.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Charles A. Blankenburg formerly of Downers Grove
Services for Charles A. Blankenburg, 87, of Fredericksburg, Texas since 1977, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, Inc., 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton.
Born on Nov. 18, 1911, he died Monday, July 12, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton.
Charles was raised in Downers Grove and graduated from Downers Grove High School in 1929. He studied accounting in night school and obtained his CPA at the age of 23. He went to work for an audit company that would eventually merge with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, and he became a partner in that firm in 1942. In 1950 he was transferred to a new office opening in Houston, Texas. Charles was a managing partner in Houston until his retirement in 1976, after 46 years of service. In 1977 he and his wife Mardelle fell in love with, and moved to, Fredericksburg. …
