Physical Therapists Remember Their Roots

What started out as a physical therapy practice for children in the basement of an Arlington Heights home 20 years ago has blossomed into a thriving pediatric practice that now serves more than 400 Northwest suburban children and their families.
Elaine Sianis and Chris Weber are the brain trust behind the operation. They both are pediatric physical therapists who started the basement practice in Weber's home, as a way to continue their practice on a part-time basis while their own children were young.
Staff and clients alike celebrated the 20th anniversary of Arlington Pediatric Services this month with a week of festivities. They included an open house of the facility, located at 3105 N. Wilke Road in Arlington Heights, a memory book for clients to leave pictures and reflections, as well as a champagne brunch for staff and therapists at the Old Orchard Country Club.
The week also included a reunion of sorts of their very first clients, fondly known as the "basement clients," where else but in Weber's basement. …
