Kerr Ready to Play against Knicks

By game time Sunday, the Bulls may place guard Randy Brown on the injured list because of his Achilles tendon strain and activate guard Steve Kerr, who is ready to play after spending more than six weeks out with a fractured clavicle.
"We are still concerned about Randy," Bulls coach Phil Jackson said after practice Friday. "He wasn't on the practice floor today. Luc (Longley) was on the floor but was still complaining about his problems. Steve is looking good. We are happy we have one guy coming back from the dead."
Longley has missed two games with a knee sprain.
Jackson did not say whether the transaction would take place by Sunday, when the Bulls visit New York. But he did say he expected Longley to play.
"There is nothing there that really looms large," Jackson said. "Pictures don't identify anything."

Time off: Bulls coach Phil Jackson gave his starters and key bench players two days off Wednesday and Thursday, then had a full practice Friday to prepare for Sunday's game against the Knicks. The practice session did not go well.
