Get a Real Deal on Books at Group's Sale Saturday

It has become a community treasure chest where friends open the lid to reveal a wealth of information.
I'm talking about the upcoming used book sale to be held between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Cook Memorial Public Library garage fronting Church Street in downtown Libertyville. The sale is sponsored by The Friends of the Library to help raise money to enhance programs and services.
If you've missed all the other sales, try to hit this one. And try to hit it early.
Maintaining prices, the group lists all children's books at 20 cents, while paperback books cost 50 cents and hardcover books reach a whopping $1.
While always displaying a large collection of children's books, you also can expect to find a supply of large type books and "a little of everything else," Merilee Sawusch, co-president of The Friends, said.
"Our sales are well known in the area," she said. "We have lower prices than other book sales and we have good donations from the public. We do have library books that we've withdrawn (from shelves for the sale), but the public gives us wonderful books from their collections. …
