Inverness Club Sets Luncheon
Byline: Mary Kay Gott
The members of the Garden Club of Inverness devoted their year to the studies of plants and flowers, learning how to grow them, where to place them and, of course, how to enjoy them.
With mission accomplished, the members will enjoy a long leisurely lunch at the Inverness Golf Club before rushing out to that moment of warm sun.
Members and guests are cordially invited to a spring luncheon on May 23 with cocktails at 11:30 a.m. Pianist Margaret Woodruff will fill the room with beautiful sounds in anticipation of a glorious lunch. Two entrees will be offered: fresh grilled Atlantic salmon with hollandaise sauce or fusille pasta with prosciutto, black olives, and red peppers in olive oil and herbs. Dessert will feature Kahlua passion tiles with raspberry garnish.
Janet Sholiton and Rose Schneider take the honors as the co-chairs of the luncheon. For more information and reservations, contact Rose at (847) 991-1699.
A toast will be given to outgoing president, Carolyn Grosch, for her leadership. Laura Hoover will take the gavel of the presidency for two years. Adele Walker will be first vice president with Tricia Prebil calculating the numbers as treasurer. …
