Brittany Hills Buyers Can Benefit from Pre-Construction Home Prices

Brittany Homes & Developments, Inc. announces its newest community, Brittany Hills.

Located on Sleepy Hollow Road, just south of County Line Road on the southern edge of Algonquin, Brittany Hills is a neighborhood of 165 single-family homes. Right now buyers can take advantage of pre-construction prices, which start from the low $200,000s. Brittany Homes has begun taking reservations on home sites and accepting deposits so buyers who act quickly will have the greatest flexibility in site and home selections.

"Those who purchase now can choose any home with any elevation and put it on the site that best suits their tastes," said Scott Ballard, director of sales and marketing for Algonquin-based Brittany Homes & Developments, Inc. "But, as we sell more homes, choices will become limited. Not only will fewer premium home sites be available, but we also set architectural guidelines so two very similar homes won't be built next to each other. As a result, a buyer may not be able to put a certain home on a certain lot."

Ballard pointed out that with 14 floor plans and 42 different elevations, diversity should never be a problem at Brittany Hills. And although each exterior is distinct, all are traditionally styled to complement the area's natural surroundings.

For minimum upkeep, homes have brick or maintenance-free aluminum siding. And, depending on the plan selected, homes may feature front porches or sheltered entries as well. Decorative trim and windowscaping, such as Palladian, bay and transom designs, accent exteriors and give them their upscale appearance, said Ballard.

Several of Brittany Hills' floor plans are adaptations of Executive Series homes already offered at Brittany's other distinctive-home communities. However, the builder also unveiled new designs. Both contemporary ranches and traditional two-stories are available, offering 1,900 to more than 3,100 square feet of living space, three to five bedrooms and at least 2 1/2 baths.

"We took a close look at the life styles of the homeowners at our current communities and incorporated our findings into the Brittany Hills designs," said Ballard. For example, since most of Brittany's buyers have children, comfortable family rooms were a priority in Brittany Hills homes. Family rooms are large and open, and feature plenty of wall space to accommodate large screen televisions or elaborate entertainment systems, said Ballard. …
