YOUNGSTERS looking for fun in the sun are flocking in droves to one of Cyprus's most popular party hotspots.
Ayia Napa was once a pretty little fishing village.
Now it is an action-packed resort where fun-lovers can rave it up till dawn in the bars and discos - then top up their tans on its glorious beaches as they rest for the night ahead.
But Cyprus has much more than this to offer. Quieter resorts are ideal for families.
Monuments, ancient sites and relics record the 9,000-year history of the third largest and most easterly of the Mediterranean islands .
Hiking and biking paths will satisfy the active. Away from the sunny coast, Mount Olympus towers to more than 6,000ft at the heart of the magnificent Troodos mountains.
It's a spectacular forested area with a sea of flowers, waterfalls and springs offering glorious views across the island. During winter the snow-covered slopes are a skiing paradise.
More than 100 species of birds - with many more passing on their migratory routes between Europe and Africa - will delight bird-watchers.
One of the highlights for them is the arrival of 10,000 flamingos that winter on the salt lakes. …
