Remembering the September 11, 2001 Unfortunate Victims of the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Plane Crash Tragedy in Pennsylvania.(Opinion &Amp; Editorial)
EXACTLY a year ago, acts of groups of zealots led to the collapse of the Twin Towers of New York's World Trade Center, severe damage to the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and deaths of plane crash victims in Pennsylvania.
Countless bodies were buried in the rubble of the collapsed towers, the victims being the hapless occupants of the famed World Trade Center edifices as well as courageous rescuers from New York's firefighting and police forces.
In world history, the attack on the United States last September 11, 2001 was unprecedented. For all of us, the attack was a cruel and gruesome reminder that despite all the advances in science and technology which have allowed for greater communication and interaction among peoples of varied backgrounds, beliefs, and languages, unwarranted acts of barbarism can still be effected by fanatics.
In the wake of the attacks, the United States, joined by almost all of the world's peoples and governments, waged a war on terror, specifically directed at the network responsible for the tragedy. …
