It is the ultimate symbol of male virility. Driving around in a flashy sports car has long been considered an antidote to encroaching middle-age for many a highflying executive with a bit of cash to burn.

Behind the wheel of the latest shiny, turbo-charged, two-seater - as any amateur psychologist knows, makes them feel ten years younger and considerably more attractive to the opposite sex.

Now, a woman graduate from Coventry University has designed the ultimate sports car for testosteronecharged men - a model explicitly based on the female body.

Leonne Watkins, aged 25, spent weeks interviewing men about their ideal woman before incorporating their preferences into her design.

The aim was to produce a template for a small sports car that portrayed all the characteristics of 'the ideal woman' that would be 'everything a man desires'.

'I wanted to create a femininelooking vehicle that would attract the male buyer,' said Ms Watkins, the only female graduate on the university's two-year MA Automotive Design course this year.

'To do that I needed to find out what the ideal female attributes would be and incorporate that into the car. It is like the ideal woman you would take out on your arm to a party and introduce to your mates.'

Her research pointed to a design that was rich in curves.

'I interviewed 40 men, asking them what their ideal female attributes would be,' she said. …
