TOBERMORE United boss Geoff Ferris has nothing but good memories when it comes to facing Linfield in the Irish Cup.
Eleven years ago, Ferris, who was playing for Glenavon at the time, bagged an Irish Cup final goal against the Blues which set the Lurgan men on the glory trail.
Ferris will now face David Jeffrey's team next month in the sixth round of this season's competition, where he will come face-to-face with the man who indirectly was responsible for him playing against the Blues way back in 1992.
"Unfortunately for Glenn Ferguson, he was suffering from a long-term injury going into the final in 1992 and because of that I was given a place in the starting line-up," explained Ferris.
"I had been on the sidelines for a few weeks before the final and probably would not have played if we had a full squad, but due to Glenn's injury they rushed me back. …
