International Students Settle in on Penn State's Fayette Campus

There were seven new faces at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus last week as international students were welcomed to the university.
According to Susan Crampton-Frenchik, the campus' French instructor and coordinator of the International and Intercultural Programs Office, the Fayette campus is one of eight Penn State branch campuses with an international campus designation.
"We're always working to expand our diversity," she said.
The students, who come from India, China, Egypt, Bulgaria and South Korea, have been at Penn State for three weeks.
Crampton-Frenchik said some of the students have signed up for first-year experience classes to become familiar with the school and there was an effort made to have the international students sign up for extra-curricular activities such as THON, a fundraising event to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House.
Li "Frankie" Yizhao, 19, of China said he wanted to attend an American university so he can take up business finance. And, while he's here, he's looking forward to improving his English comprehension.
So far, he said that he has found everyone on campus to be friendly and he's enjoying the rural scenery. …
