Alex Barton had five RBIs, a double and a triple to help Seymour baseball coach Bob Kelo win his 400th career game in a 6-0 victory over Crosby Wednesday in a Naugatuck Valley League win at Waterbury.

Kelo, in his 27th season, is now 400-202.

"It means I've been doing this a long time," Kelo said. "I've had great assistant coaches over the years. I have guys that have played for me who have been sending me messages to congratulate me when the game ended, so yeah, it means a lot, the relationships you make from coaching over the years."

Foran 3, Hand 1: Joe Zanghi had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Lions to their Southern Connecticut Conference Hammonasset Division win in Milford.

Pitcher Ryan Manning had 12 strikeouts for the Lions (9-4). Scott Baren had a hit and an RBI for the Tigers (6-7).

Ansonia 4, Sacred Heart 3: Darwin Elias had the go-ahead RBI single to lead Ansonia (7-6) over Sacred Heart (6-8) in a NVL game.

Guilford 8, Law 0: Pitcher Nick Rubino went the distance and allowed only three hits to lead the Indians to their SCC interdivision win in Milford.

Ryder Miconi, J.P. Peters, Connor McGinley and Kevin Knapp all had two hits for the Indians (7-6). Rich Dow had two hits for Law (5- 9).

Shelton 8, Cheshire 6: Ryan Daiss had two RBIs and Ryan Zahornasky had an RBI and three hits for Shelton (10-3) in a SCC Housatonic win.

Dan Schock hit a home run for Cheshire (2-10).

O'Brien Tech 2, Parish Hill 1 (9): Ryan Molloy scored on a bases- loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the host Condors to this Constitution State Conference win at Ansonia.

Starting pitcher Cody Maida struck out 10, while winning pitcher Chad Sweeney struck out seven in four innings for O'Brien Tech (6- 6).

No. 2 Notre Dame 12, West Haven 0: Mike Panza had two hits and Gary Flowers earned the win to improve to 5-0 for the host Green Knights in this SCC Quinnipiac Division win at West Haven.

Xavier 4, Fairfield Prep 2: Pat Collavecchio had a two-run double for the host Falcons in this SCC Quinnipiac Division win at Middletown.

Lyman Hall 8, Wilbur Cross 2: Kevin Naimoli had a hit and three RBIs for the host Trojans in this SCC interdivision win at Wallingford.

Ben Miller had two hits and two RBIs and Matt Moran had two hits and an RBI for Lyman Hall (5-7).

No. 3 Foran 4, Guilford 0: Pitcher Jess Harkness struck out seven and scattered four hits to lead the Lions to their SCC Hammonasset win in Guilford. …
