Parker B. Condie has been elected chairman of the board of directors for Childhaven. Frank Childress was elected vice chairman and treasurer and Ann B. Prenatt was elected vice chairman and secretary. New members of the board of directors are Isaac Bruce, Edith Cunnane, John J. Deutschmann, Dennis Holter, Demetrious Johnson, Todd Kinchen, Michael A. Lockette, Maura McShane, Bobby Medow, Mrs. Edward J. Shaheen Jr., Mary Jo Sokol, Rosilee Trotta, Carol A. Wildrick and Christine Wilson.

Dr. James D. Turner has been selected chairman of the board of the Missouri Academy of Family Physicians. He has a practice in Washington, Mo.

Dr. Ira J. Kodner has been elected president-elect of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. He is director of the section of colon and rectal surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. George L. Tucker has been appointed to the board of trustees at Maryville University. he is president of St. Luke's Hospital and vice president of operations for Unity Health System.

Terry M. Rose, Rev. William Causer and Rev. Toney C. Smith Sr. have been appointed to the board of directors of Emmaus Homes. Rose is the administrator and executive vice president of St. John's Mercy Hospital; Causer is the senior pastor at Bethany-Peace UCC; and Smith is the senior pastor at Friedens UCC.

John R. McCastle has been appointed executive director of the Greater St. Louis Crisis Pregnancy Centers. He will also serve on the agency's board of directors. William Smith has been re-elected chairman of the board of directors. Also serving on the board are Jim Cummings, vice chairman; Joan Nester, treasurer; Rev. David Fitzgerald, secretary; and Cindy Tornatore and Kurt Wesselong.

Dr. Fran E. Kaiser has been selected a 1996-97 Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine fellow. She is associate director of geriatric medicine at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
