The Buffalo Niagara Sales & Marketing Executives Will Honor Russell J Salvatore as 2012 Executive of the Year at Its Annual Dinner Gala March 4 at Salvatore's Italian Gardens
The Buffalo Niagara Sales & Marketing Executives will honor Russell J. Salvatore as 2012 Executive of the Year at its annual dinner gala March 4 at Salvatore's Italian Gardens. Salvatore, who established the famous restaurant in 1967, is president and CEO of Russell's Steaks, Chops and More Restaurant and Salvatore's Grand Hotel. In addition he is involved in the Russell J. Salvatore School of Hospitality and Business at Trocaire College, the Patriots and Heroes Park in Lancaster and many other charities and causes.
First Niagara Financial Group promoted Kristy Berner to senior vice president and general counsel and Kate White to senior vice president and managing director, human resources. Berner, the bank's assistant general counsel since 2010, earned her bachelor's degree, MBA, and J.D. from the University at Buffalo. White, who joined the bank in 2008 after serving as corporate HR director at HSBC for more than 10 years, graduated from Cornell University.
The Buffalo Urban League appointed Vincent D. Clark vice president of development and communications. Clark served as executive director of the Ellicott-Masten YMCA and senior director for government, corporate and foundation relations at Medaille College. For more than seven years, he worked in the office of former U.S. Congressman Jack Quinn as a senior field representative and director of grants.
Phillips Lytle, an area law firm, elected David J. Luzon and Thomas E. Popek partners in the firm. Luzon, a graduate from Medaille College, he received his MBA and J.D. from the University at Buffalo. Popek received his bachelor's degree and J.D. from UB.
Travers Collins, a Buffalo marketing communications agency, named Tom Peters senior vice president/creative director. Peters, a graduate of Buffalo State College, had been vice president/ associate creative director of the agency. …
