North Gets above.500 by Beating Tell City ; Boonville, Heritage Hills Pick Up Wins

North's Jaylen Chambers finished with 23 points as the Huskies beat Tell City 61-42 to nudge one game over.500 on the basketball season. C. J. Hedgepeth scored 13 for North (9-8), which led by 10 at halftime. Chambers finished with five 3-pointers.

Matthew Watts led Tell City (3-14) with 17 points.

n Mater Dei 52, Jasper 45: Mark Giesler had 21 points to lead Mater Dei in the battle of Wildcats.

A 17-9 edge made the biggest difference for Mater Dei (8-9).

Boonville 57, Gibson Southern 46: Evan Hendrickson and Jason Stephens combined for 30 points as the Pioneers pulled away late.

Hendrickson had 11 of his points in the fourth quarter to help Boonville build on its 37-35 edge after three quarters.

Andrew Zilliak led the Titans with 18 points.
