MONDAY Britain in a Day (BBC2, 9pm) Following on from the excellent cinema film Life In a Day which a year ago showed a snapshot of the world in one day, this documentary does the same kind of thing for Britain.
It weaves together a vast range of land and cityscapes and the stories of ordinary people who might never otherwise have 'met'. From a man with a brain tumour attending his daughter's wedding to a fox hunt and a pheasant shoot, it's tapestry television.
Euro 2012: France v England (ITV1, 4pm/ko 5pm) finally gets our involvement in the Euros up and running. Next up, Ukraine v Sweden (BBC1, 7pm/ ko 7.45pm).
TUESDAY Silk (BBC1, 9pm) is the penultimate episode in the series which is being given a lift with the return of creator Peter Moffat to scriptwriting duties. Martha (Maxine Peake) is now representing a man who is on death row in Jamaica.
Jimmy and Giant Supermarket (Channel 4, 9pm) features Jimmy Doherty trying to make an affordable chicken kiev and trying to reintroduce British rose veal.
Killers Behind Bars: The Untold Story (Channel 5, 8pm) features Professor David Wilson, head of criminology at Birmingham City University, trying to link unsolved 'cold cases' to three of Britain's most notorious murderers.
