Heart Association to Conduct 2nd Annual Cardiac Arrest


The American Heart Association will conduct its second annual Cardiac Arrest today at the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. Those "arrested" and taken to a makeshift jail must raise their pre-determined bail before they are released. Proceeds from the event will benefit the association's research and educational programs for the Oklahoma affiliate. . .

- Rosemari Davis, former chief executive officer of the Cumberland Hospital in New Kent, Va., has been named adminstrator of the Edmond Memorial Hospital. Joel Hart, who has served as administrator of Edmond Memorial for the past eight years, will become the adminstrator of Oklahoma Memorial Hospital. . .

- Dr. Roger A. Brumback, associate professor of pathology, neurology, pediatrics and psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, is co-author of the Handbook of Sympton-Oriented Neurology, recently published by Year Book Medical Publishers Inc.. . .

- The Mammography Center of Oklahoma has received notice of certification from the American College of Radiology Mammography Accreditation Program, becoming the third Oklahoma City facility to receive accreditation. Others are Radiology Associates Inc. and Oklahoma Breast Care Center.

To earn certification, a facility must submit to the scrutiny of third-party radiologists and radiation physicists, meeting criteria established by the national board governing the practice of radiology. Application for certification is voluntary. . .

- Joyce Tagert has been named vice president of nursing support service at St. Anthony Hospital. Tagert will oversee the departments of surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, nursing quality assurance and the outpatient clinics. . .

- Dr. Larry Leemaster has opened his office for family dentistry in the Moore Medical Center. Leemaster plans to maintain his second office at 215 N. Midwest Blvd. in Midwest City. . .

- South Community Hospital has added to its staff graduate nurses from nursing programs in Oklahoma City:

Robbie Allison, Terrie Armitage, Julie Atkinson, Denise Baker, Mary Bittle, Liz Blakely, Sandra Blue, Sharon Conner, Becky Crawford, Kelly Cunningham, Julie Curry, and Janis Eubanks.
