Request Land Title Information System image software is now available from Electronic Dictation Systems Inc. in Oklahoma City.
The software is a Windows-based application allowing for electronic indexing and retrieval of real estate documents and electronic archival of the documents.
The system was developed to augment end users such as county clerks, abstracters and those people working in the oil and gas industry who have real estate records and documents on paper.
Electronic Dictation Systems is a Novell Charter Platinum integrator which provides services statewide to meet needs of corporate accounts and government agencies. Services include technical support, consulting, training and a full line of hardware and software solutions.
The company was established in 1963. . . The American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisals course, Administrative Review of Appraisals, is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday in Stillwater. The course is open to loan officers, underwriters, examiners, reviewers and appraisers.
James D. Cannon, of Cannon Valuation Services in Oklahoma City, is scheduled as the instructor. He has taught other courses nationally for the society. He has 27 years of appraisal management experience.
The Administrative Review course is to provide users of appraisals with a basic overview of the requirements of appraisal reports, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal practice and common errors found in appraisal reports. Federal requirements mandate commercial, residential or agricultural loans of $100,000 or more be appraised by a state certified appraiser.
Acceptability of an appraisal report, its conformity with requirements and its use in making a lending decision will also be covered.
Cost of the course is $100 for members and $150 for non-members. The Oklahoma Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers is in Pawhuska, Okla. . . "Basic Income Capitalization" is scheduled May 21-23 and May 28-30 by the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
The course is to focus on skills needed to solve appraisal problems, the ability to perceive the significance of available data, apply property procedures to derive necessary information from data and interpret and test the reasonableness of mathematical conclusions. Theory and applicability of the income capitalization approach are to be reviewed along with the theory and concepts behind yield capitalization formulas.
Topics are to include direct capitalization, yield capitalization, introduction to discounting, mathematics of finance, the use of financial function tables and function calculators, discounting procedures and income value patterns, income and property models, valuation of lease interests and cash equivalency.
The course qualifies for 39 hours of educational credit from the Appraisal Institute, the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission and the Oklahoma Real Estate Appraisal Board. …
