Securities Dealers Elect Myers to Business Conduct Committee


Mikie Myers, vice president of Stifel, Nicolaus Co., has been elected to the National Association of Securities Dealers District 5 Business Conduct Committee.

Myers has been with Stifel, Nicolaus since 1972, and for the past five years has served as arbitrator for the securities dealers' group and the New York Stock Exchange. She is also past president of the Oklahoma Bond Dealers Association.

The National Association of Securities Dealers has 11 districts nationwide. District 5 covers Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Oklahoma. Myers is to be inducted in January at the organization's quarterly meeting in New Orleans. . . Bill Warren has been chosen president of the Downtown Oklahoma City Kiwanis Club for 1993-94.

Other officers include: Lucien Jones, president-elect; Rick Nash, vice president; Jim Vogt, vice president; Vince Scoufos, secretary; Pam Schuneman, treasurer; Terry Vanlandingham, immediate past president. . . Ron Boyd, president of Stride Well Service Inc. of Enid, has been chosen second vice president of the Association of Oilwell Servicing Contractors for 1993-94.

Boyd has served as chairman of the association's Oklahoma chapter. He joined Stride Well in 1989. . . Jordan Associates Advertising/Communications has named three new members to its media planning and buying team.

Susan Noah and Caroline Avant were appointed planner/buyers. Noah has previously worked at agencies in Dallas, Wichita Falls and Houston. She came to Jordan from Advertising Inc. in Tulsa. Avant, a 20-year veteran also from Advertising Inc., is a past president of American Women in Radio and Television in Tulsa.

}Jordan also named Chris Ann Kuhar a media assistant. She previously worked with the Richards Group in Dallas and as an advertising sales representative for The Dallas Morning News. . . Kimberly Fields has joined Akin's Plant Rental, 4211 N. MacArthur Blvd., as a plant technician. Her duties include the selling and leasing of plants, as well as the maintenance of plants for current clients. . . Tabitha Teasley has been named corporate communications administrative assistant for the International Headquarters of Express Personnel Services. …
