Williams Launches Special Events Business TV
DALLAS (JR) -- Williams Global Access Services, a unit of Tulsa's Williams Cos., debuted its special events business television services Monday as an alternative to more traditional meeting and conference planning.
Using satellite technology, Williams' special events business television offers meeting professionals an efficient and cost- effective option to flying executives from distant offices to a central location. "The technology allows corporate events to be broadcast to thousands for a fraction of the cost of more traditional meeting methods," said Nick Thompson, Global Access Services' vice president of worldwide business television services. "Business television special events services enable corporations to include a greater number of employees and communicate a more consistent company message. It also allows meeting planners to offer an alternative to the traditional conference and meeting."
Thompson noted that, with increasing budget pressures and more discerning audiences, the challenge is to create events that are both cost-effective and high-impact. Customers use satellite-delivered business television to help meet these objectives and significantly improve the effectiveness of their special events. Applications for special event business television services include new product launches, motivational sales meetings, customer seminars, stockholder meetings, benefit roll-outs, CEO addresses, and company kickoff events. …
