Arledge and Associates to Break Ground on New Building

The Edmond accounting firm John M. Arledge and Associates will break ground at 10 a.m. today on a 13,000-square-foot corporate office building.
The two-story structure at 301 N. Bryant will accommodate 40 professionals specializing in tax, audit and business consulting services.
Rated the Oklahoma City area's 10th-largest accounting firm in The Journal Record Book of Lists, Arledge and Associates employs 21 accounting professionals, half of which are certified. Audit Partner Jim Denton said the $800,000 expansion should help the firm double its employment to accommodate its growing client base and diverse specialized services.
"The new corporate office is a statement of not only how our firm is growing, but also the growth of the entire accounting industry," said Managing Partner John M. Arledge.
"We hope to pioneer efforts to improve the financial management of companies by starting at the core of their day-to-day business practices."
Started in Edmond in 1983, the firm is located at 501 E. 15th St. Its new building is part of a three-office complex at Chaumont Plaza. …
