Miller Fluid Heads has a new range of carbon fiber and alloy ENG/EFP camera tripods, designed to suit a wide range of pan and tilt heads. The Miller Series Il ENG/EFP camera tripod includes the Lightweight, for use with small CCD cameras and broadcast camcorders; the Single Stage, for ENG/EFP cameras up to 25 kg.; and the 2-Stage, which delivers optimum torsional rigidity and a large operating height range to a wide selection of ENG and EFP camera systems.
The Series II models feature Miller's new Pro-Lok torque limited leg clamps which provide a maintenance-free, single-turn clamp-and-release method of adjusting tripod leg height. Redesigned 75mm and 100mm tripod bowls make the Series II tripods suitable for attachment to most makes of heads. The new bowls increase clamping strength and provide a torsion-free attachment to tripod legs. A revised leg angle lock system (for tripod mounting without a spreader) now incorporates a "knock-proof" locking mechanism to eliminate accidental engagement.
Each of the three Series Il models is available in a choice of either alloy, utilizing specially milled, hard anodized aluminum tubing of high-strength, cross-laminated carbon fiber.

Camera Support Products
Cinekinetic released seven new products at NAB '94. The Microlite Jib, one of the lightest full-length fully professional tripod-mounted jib arms, weighs in at only 15 pounds but can support cameras weighing up to 50 pounds. The jib is available with either a standard jib arm length of 55 inches or in a sports model, with an arm length of 27 inches. Setup time is less than ten seconds. The Microlite Jib offers clutch-controlled ball-bearing assemblies, which provide smooth pan and tongue moves and offers full lock and variable drag through all axes.
The Nunano is one of the smallest and lightest jibs in existence. With a radius span of only 12 inches, it enables the camera operator to get dynamic grab shots with instantaneous setup. The Nunano can handle most 35mm film cameras as well as a complete range of dockable video cameras. it can be mounted on a tripod, column, or Cinekinetic's new Clever Clamp. The Clever Clamp lets the camera operator clamp a camera to any vertical, horizontal or angled support. Its jaws open wide enough to be clamped to a brick wall or tree. It is available with either a 100mm or 150mm bowl (as are all of Cinekinetic's products).
The Jib Stix is Cinekinetic's first entry into the tripod market. It is a heavy duty, lightweight tripod capable of supporting all of Cinekinetic's jib arms. The two-stage tripod folds to only 27 inches. Its robust construction means there is no whip, a problem often associated with lightweight tripods.
The Clayton's Head provides a camera platform only two inches above the tripod and weighs less than one pound. The head is designed to be used when making locked-off shots; no tilt or pan facility is provided. When mounted on a jib, the camera can fit through the windows of most current automobiles.
The Climbing Column is height-adjustable, offers a built-in seat, and makes unobstructed 360-degree camera pans possible. …
