This paperback, spiral-bound text is included because it is an excellent reference about emergent literacy and has been assembled by a team of experts (and it is free). We have used it in graduate education courses in reading at St. Michael's College. The text is readable., attractive, and answers many questions about phonological awareness, phoneme segmentation, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension instruction, and current, reputable research.
