Who's Who in Labor


Since our winter issue, President Trump nominated Alexander Acosta on February 16 to be Secretary of Labor following the withdrawal of businessman Andrew Puzder the previous day Acosta, who at the time of his nomination serves as dean of Florida International University College of Law, was a former National Labor Relations Board member (2002 - 2003) and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

At the National Labor Relations Board, President Trump named Philip A. Miscimarra Acting Chairman of the Board, effective January 23- Fie was first sworn in as a Member of the NLRB on August 7, 2013 for a term that expires on December 16, 2017.

Also at the NLRB, five new Regional Directors have been appointed. They are: Leonard (Pete) Perez (Region 14, St. Louis); Valerie Hardy-Mahoney (Region 32, Oakland, CA); Jennifer A. Hadsall (Region 18, Minneapolis, MN); Jill Coffman (Region 20, San Francisco, CA); and Paul Murphy (Region 3, Buffalo, NY).
