Fund-Raising Campaign in Full Swing


The Credit Research Foundation (CRF) formally announced its fundraising goal of $150,000 for the 1994-1995 fiscal year. With a lead gift of $25,000 from NACM, and a matching $25,000 donation from Dun & Bradstreet, the CRF campaign is off to an excellent start. As of Aug. 1994, the Foundation has raised more than $67,000.

With a fund development plan in hand, CRF has taken a major step in its campaign: the organizing of a Fund Development Committee, composed of volunteer members and friends of the CRF. It is an exciting time for the Foundation, as committee members roll up their sleeves, map out strategy, and assist the CRF Fund Development staff with leads, contacts, and fresh ideas on soliciting corporate support.

Robert C. Togtman, CCE, chairman of the CRF Board of Trustees, reports, "CRF has received some of the credit community's highest praise for its work in benchmarking, reengineering, and performance measures of collection effectiveness. Its program plans are ambitious. Maintaining excellence in information and research programs requires funds; corporate and individual financial support of the Foundation are essential."

CRF is a leader in developing and maintaining active research programs in credit and related financial areas and has played a vital role in the professional development of the skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities of credit and financial executives. Regional forums, including the annual Senior Executive Forum and others, offer peer networking and the opportunity to exchange ideas on management practices.

Further, CRF's research and publications program sets a standard for excellence, serving the business-credit community through a variety of highly regarded publications, including annual surveys, Benchmarking; Measures of Performance: Credit, Collections and Accounts Receivable; Secured Transactions; and the Compensation of Credit Executives. …
