(BC-Deadpool2-Death)

An initial incident report released by WorkSafe B-C says a stuntwoman on the movie "Deadpool 2" was killed after driving beyond a planned stopping spot during filming on Monday.

The report says the "worker" -- identified by the B-C coroner's service as S-J Harris -- had stopped during rehearsal after going out of a building and down one ramp built over three stairs.

But it says she hit a concrete curb and was thrown off her bike and through a plate glass window when she continued down a second ramp and across the road during the first shooting of the scene.

WorkSafe B-C is continuing to investigate and a full report from the local production company is due one month from the incident. (The Canadian Press)

More than 900-thousand hectares of land has been consumed in the worst wildfire season on record -- with 140 fires still burning and about 44-hundred people still under evacuation orders. (The Canadian Press)

Beare says many have lost income during the peak revenue-generating summer season and some have lost property.

The Cariboo Regional District expanded two evacuation orders late yesterday as rural residents near Nazko and Kleena Kleene, both more than 100 kilometres southwest of Prince George, were told to leave due to separate wildfires. …
