School Boards throughout Region Reorganize for 2019 Meeting Dates, Locations Listed


School boards in the area are seating new board members and appointing new officers.

Below is a roundup of area school board reorganization meetings.

Bethel Park

Donna Cook was re-elected president at the Dec. 4 reorganization meeting. Connie Ruhl was re-elected vice president.

The district solicitor is Patricia Andrews.

The board's 2019 voting meetings will be held at 8 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the community room of the district administration building at 301 Church Road.

Chartiers Valley

Mark Kuczinski was elected president and Darren Mariano vice president.

Donald Palmer is solicitor.

The board's 2019 voting meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the district assembly room at the administrative offices, 2030 Swallow Hill Road.

East Allegheny

John Savinda was elected president and Frank Pearsol vice president.

Gateway

Mary Beth Cirucci was elected president and Rick McIntyre vice president.

Keystone Oaks

Patricia Ann Shaw was elected president and Theresa Lydon vice president.

Solicitor is Mike Brungo.

The board's 2019 voting meetings will be held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month in the board room in Keystone Oaks High School at 1000 Kelton Ave.

Mars Area

J. Dayle Ferguson was re-elected president and Rebecca Brown was re-elected vice president.

The board will meet on the following dates in 2019: Jan. 8 and 15, Feb. 5 and 12, March 5 and 12, April 2 and 9, May 7 and 14, June 4 and 11, July 16, Aug. 6 and 13, Sept. 3 and 10, Oct. 1 and 8, Nov. 4 and 12 and Dec. 3. All meetings will be at 7 p.m. in the administration building.

McKeesport Area

Joe Lopretto was elected president and Mary Jane Keller vice president.

Solicitor is Gary Matta.

Voting meetings will be at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month in the board room in the district administrative offices at 3590 O'Neil Blvd.

Mt. Lebanon

Michael Riemer was elected president and Sarah Olbrich vice president.

The solicitor is Thomas P. Peterson.

Voting meetings will be held at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 22, Feb. 25, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17, Aug. 19, Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18 and Dec. 9. The meetings will be held at Mt. Lebanon High School in room D205. …
