About the Preds

D Dan Hamhuis (leg), C Zac Rinaldo (shoulder), RW Miikka Salomaki (upper body) and C Craig Smith (lower body) are on injured reserve and will not play. LW Austin Watson is serving an indefinite suspension while in stage two of the NHL’s substance-abuse and behavioural program.

C Mikael Granlund is expected to make his debut for the Preds tonight after being acquired from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for F Kevin Fiala before Monday’s NHL trade deadline. Granlund led the Wild in assists (34) and was second in points (49) before being dealt. Nashville also acquired RW Wayne Simmonds from Philadelphia, with F Ryan Hartman and a conditional 2020 draft pick going back to the Flyers.

G Pekka Rinne has a 16-5-1 career record against the Jets, with a 2.42 goals-against average and .917 save percentage. RW Viktor Arvidsson, meanwhile, has three goals and 10 assists in 13 career games against Winnipeg.

C Ryan Johansen leads Nashville with 53 points, including 11 goals, in 64 games. Arvidsson has a team-high 26 goals in 42 games.

LW Filip Forsberg is on a four-game points streak (four assists) and has at least a point in seven of his past nine games against Winnipeg. He had 10 points, including three goals, in a seven-game Central Division final playoff series last spring.
