objective structured tests employing multiple choice questions ( MCQ) and of objective structured clinical examination ( OSCE).

All schools have a curriculum committee responsible for the overall coordination of the curriculum in cooperation with different departments through sub-groups and task forces, especially when it relates to multidisciplinary courses. Almost all schools undertake regular curricular reviews, defining and redefining their objectives, planning their courses and adapting their teaching methods.

A separate department and a chair position for general practice now exist in almost all medical schools, and the general practitioner continue to be the backbone of the National Health Services and the gatekeeper to all other forms of highly advanced-technologic medical care; hence, more attention will continue to be given to general practice and community medicine.
