MORTON WAGMAN is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Professor Wagman is a Diplomate in Counseling Psychology, American Board of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Wagman is the originator of the PLATO computer-based Dilemma Counseling System. PLATO DCS, published by Control Data Corporation, has been internationally used at colleges and universities for research, service, and instructional purposes.
Dr. Wagman's research on computer counseling has been published widely in scientific and professional journals. Professor Wagman's most recent books are Cognitive Science and Concepts of Mind: Toward a General Theory of Human and Artificial Intelligence ( Praeger, 1991), Artificial Intelligence and Human Cognition: A Theoretical Intercomparison of Two Realms of Intellect ( Praeger, 1991), Computer Psychotherapy Systems.
