NO ACCOUNT of the great Family dynasties of America would be complete without reference to the Jewish Families. For the simple fact is that no Families in America have more genuine claims to Aristocracy than they have, particularly the Sephardic Families, notably the Baruchs and Cardozos. Almost equally firmly Family-D founded, however, are the German Jewish Families, notably the Strauses, the Warburgs, the Lehmans, the Schiffs, the Loebs, the Morgenthaus, the Ochses, the Sulzbergers, the Seligmans, the Goldmans, the Sachses, the Bernheimers and the Blumenthals.
