CATHERINE FISHER COLLINS is Associate Professor at the State University of New York, Empire State College and Instructor at the State University of New York, Educational Opportunity Center. She is a Nurse Practitioner and certified in health education. She is the author of Imprisoned African-American Women: Causes, Conditions and Future Implications ( 1996).
PEGGY BROOKS-BERTRAM is the Executive Director of Jehudi Educational Services, a private woman-owned business that provides educational support and services to graduate students. She is also Executive Director of Bertram and Bertram Associates, a consulting firm specializing in disease management, quality assurance, case management, and health services research. Dr. Bertram also produces a local television program entitled "The Health Store."
CYNTHIA CRAWFORD-GREEN, MD is an Associate Professor at Howard University College of Medicine. She is also the director of the Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory at Howard University Hospital, serves as the Cardiology Fellowship Program Coordinator, and is actively involved in several funded research efforts. Her major research interests are myocardial ischemia, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease in women. She has a private practice at the university where she specializes in severe hypertension.
