When Hammel starts talking about Jupiter's atmosphere her voice lights up, she speaks in language everyone can understand, and it is obvious she is having a great time. Whether or not she makes great discoveries in astronomy, Heidi Hammel has already convinced the public that you need not have a Ph.D. in science to know "that our universe is a living and changing entity and that we are part of it." 16
