Isaac Albeniz: Portrait of a Romantic

By Walter Aaron Clark | Go to book overview

Appendix II
List of Works
The following compilation is greatly indebted to the work of Jacinto Torres Mulas, MGG (new edition, Personenteil), s.v. 'Albéniz' (works list), which in turn is based on his Catálogo sistemático descriptivo dc las obras musicales de Isaac Albéniz (unpublished). The author thanks Prof. Torres for sharing his work in advance of its publication. In addition to the author's own research, the list below borrows from the work of Baytelman, Bevan, Falces Sierra, and Laplane. Opus numbers have little validity and are not used. The works are organized first by medium and then in approximate chronological order by date of composition. Works from the same year are listed alphabetically. Publication information pertains to first editions. Alternate titles from later editions appear after the original title. The location of any manuscripts is given in brackets at the end of the entry.
