Miki's favorite restaurant was the Green Glen, a popular sandwich and salad place. One night, when she and her father were walking the dog, they noticed a Help Wanted sign hanging on the window. Miki balked at first when he suggested she apply for the job, but she eventually figured it wouldn't kill her to put away a few dollars for college. And she liked the idea of having her own money too. Even so, she was surprised when she was hired despite having no experience.
