Melinda was on the bus with her teammates, heading home from the volleyball game on Wednesday night, when she heard everybody talking about Franny's party. Until now Melinda had assumed it was going to be just herself and a couple of good friends. That was the extent of the planning she was aware of. That and Franny said she was going to see if she could sneak a bottle from the liquor cabinet.
