Oskar Morgenstern is Class of 1913 Professor of Political Economy at Princeton University. Before coming to Princeton in 1938 he was Professor at the University of Vienna and Director of the Austrian Institute of Business Cycle Research. He was a Member of the Committee of Statistical Experts, and of the Delegation on Economic Depressions, both of the League of Nations. He is now directing, at Princeton University, the Economics Research Project on the Mathematical Structure of American Type Economies, supported by the Office of Naval Research.
