Luisa Di Capua
Luisa is thirty-four, and she is originally from Italy but grew up in Switzerland. She has been pursuing acting seriously for five years. She has studied at the Piero Dusa Acting Conservatory and with the Theatre of the Oppressed with Augusto Boal, among others. Her theatre credits include Emily at the Duality Playhouse, Tales of a Hydrogen Starbomb at the Sanford Meisner Theatre, Election Year at the New York Italian Theatre, Candide at the Sargent Theatre, Beyond Therapy at the Village Gate, and the narrator for a reading of Heart of Darkness with the Repertory Theatre. Luisa's film credits include Skyride and Una Sera d'Estate ( Switzerland). She also records voice-overs for international commercials.
I'm very different now. I used to be shy and introverted, but in high school I always got the lead role in the play. People couldn't figure this out. Usually I wanted to blend in with the wall, but I loved being in a play because I could be somebody else. When I came to New York, I wanted desperately to find a way to come out of my shyness.
