Jaz is thirty-eight, originally from Los Angeles, and has been pursuing acting for nineteen years (with a nine-year break to raise her daughter). She received a B.A. in Theatre Arts from California State University, Northridge. Her theatre credits include Round and Round the Garden (which she also directed), Daddy's Dyin' Who's Got the Will?, Lost In Yonkers, Can-Can, Lend Me a Tenor, Alice in Wonderland, Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pimpernel, Cabaret, and The Lion in Winter.
I decided to become an actor when I was eight years old. I saw My Fair Lady, the movie version, and I already owned the Broadway soundtrack so I knew the lyrics by heart. When the overture started I began singing along with it, and my dad leaned over, looked at me, and said "You better stop it or we're going to have to put you on the stage" and I stood up to go! Also, my uncle was a soundman at Twentieth Century Fox studios, and every year for my birthday he would take me to tour the lot until I was eighteen.
