This presentation of work is part of my National Degree with the theme: 'Retailers in Public Space - Smallest Markets'. The presentation addresses the following concerns:
|a.||Social background of retailers within public space (their history, needs and compulsions)|
|b.||The changing markets (rising unemployment, new work, job-sharing...)|
|c.||The inner city and the possibilities for fluctuating markets.|
|d.||The conceptual design of different possible jobs or trades (including the design of the relevant equipment)|
This work was presented for the first time in December 1997.
More than hundred years ago, wandering photographers started to conquer the world with their new eyes, and where ever they went, they were covered with glory. Nowadays we have a very different situation - mass production has made this technology cheap and almost everybody can afford their own camera.
But with the development of digital technology in photography- and Data-transfer technology, there is a market for photographers and their services again. Although we have had digital cameras and 'handys' for a few years, they are not easily accessible to everybody. The service for the customer could be, for example, a modern variation of the traditional postcard: A high quality image of a person or location taken somewhere in the world will be sent to an email-recipient elsewhere.
