CYRANO DE BERGERAC

"Cyrano de Bergerac" is one of the most celebrated modern plays. Its success throughout Europe and America is attributable to the sympathetic and ingratiating Cyrano himself, to its embodiment of the spirit of romance, and its inexhaustible wit. The poetry is not of supreme importance, for the play has succeeded in many translations.
