Physical description: Coereba flaveola, commonly called the bananaquit, is black above with white stripes over the eyes and white spots at the base of the wing tips; breast is bright yellow and throat and underparts are white; tail black with white spots; decurved short bill.
Behavior: The bananaquit is a very active honeycreeper that feeds on nectar, fruit, and small insects.
